meanwhile, the White House is telling the Swiftboat group
to get off their side.
I don't get it.
What are you talking about?
I'll bet that the President has so much junk to deal with from the media, that he/they don't want to look like endorsing these guys openly. It'll be used as just one more opportunity to accuse the President of using dirty, dirty tactics. Never Forget - there are TWO SETS OF RULES. (1) We put up with anything the Democrats/Liberals claim, intimate, otherwise accuse the Republicans of, and (2) we are to JUST SIT THERE and take it.
Go to this thread about the WH press gaggle.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
I believe (if I am correct) the White House did not say specifically that they were flushing the Swift Boats group, but the CBS and other liberal mass media outlets spun it that way.

CNS is reporting FALSELY that the White House has condemned this ad.
NOT TRUE.
White House basically is saying it's not them and aren't 527's a bitch.
Who was the Van guy? I am trying to check what boat he was on and swiftvets.com is just pulled offline now due to DOS attacks.
Don't believe everything you read from CBS, et al. If you read the press breifing by Scott McClellan, all the WH did was say that there should be no soft money ads, pointed out the $62 million in soft money ads pointed against the President, and dared the Dems to denounce MoveOn.org, George Soros, etc. before they would denounce the Swiftboat Vets.
No, that is not what the Whitehouse said. The Whitehouse said that they were against All soft money expenditures, because they know how it feels to be on the receiving end of over $60,000 of attack ads from Democrat 527s.
