So Kerry pulled a guy out of the water (that he dumped in by accident). Good for Kerry.
But - does this deserve a medal? What about Odell's boat staying by the hit boat to pull out the injured. In Kerry's medal award the gov't says he travelled 3.2 miles downriver under intense small arms fire. 3.2 MILES? And none of the other boats were fired on while picking up the injured, or when THEY left down river?
I think if O'Reilly is being too easy on Kerry its so he isn't bashing the military and our veterens. And yes, there is enough to get Kerry on his post-Vietnam actions.
However, I think that THESE vets are defending THEIR honor.
True. It goes to the question of Kerry's character. If there are warts on his record, let's see them. No one's perfect. And since the Democrats are kicking up a big fuss over the Swift Boat Veterans ads, let's set them straight: John F*ckin' himself made his Vietnam service a legitimate issue when he mentioned it no less than 11 times during his address to the Democratic Convention last week. A true hero not afraid of having heat and light bear on him. He'd welcome it, like a baptism under fire. So the lawsuit threats from the Kerry/Edwards campaign and the DNC only serve to underline the fact Ketchup Boy's a phony. What's he afraid of?
