Not really, he is a verified POW.
War hero not according to some ex POW's.

How do we contact a goon who is on a cloud of deceit? McCain has something to hide, and he should just SHUT UP!
While I disagree with McCain on this one I think I'll leave the criticism to vets this time.
Evil liberal putz.
I had a lot of respect for this man and what he went through but clearly he is living his life by the communist manifesto he learned so well from his captors. All the other POW's are telling how JFK lies were thrown at them every day but McCain is grovelling at Kerry's feet like a submissive puppy.
You got that right... McCain must answer to the POW/MIAs and the way he treated the families of those left behind and his kissing the ass of those who held him and the other POWs at Hanoi Hilton!
He has something to hide and the way to escape that is to come out strong about Kerry using his Vietnam experience and then not wishing anyone to question him about it. McCain does not want anyone to really question him either, but do a search on McCain and you will see what gives.
Remember Admiral Stockdale wanted to prosecute an officer for collaboration but never would say who. He was suspiciously given a star and after that, nothing else was ever mentioned.
Can't we all just get along!!!!
Maybe the senator should read the book prior to making any comments. But senator I hate to inform you but you have no clothes on!
ClickThe Kerry campaign has denounced the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, saying none of the men in the ad served on the boat that Kerry commanded. Three veterans on Kerry's boat that day Jim Rassmann, who says Kerry saved his life, Gene Thorson and Del Sandusky, the driver on Kerry's boat, said the group was lying on all fronts.
They say Kerry was injured, and Rassmann called the group's account ''pure fabrication.''
The leader of the group, retired Adm. Roy Hoffmann, said none of the 13 veterans in the commercial served on Kerry's boat but rather were in other swiftboats within 50 yards of Kerry's. The group claims that there was no gunfire on the day Kerry pulled Rassmann from a muddy river in the Mekong Delta and that Kerry's arm was not wounded, as he has claimed.
''What we have is a fabrication that led to Kerry getting his Bronze Star and his last Purple Heart,'' said Thurlow, who said he commanded a swiftboat near Kerry's.
EVERY Viet Nam Vet should call McCain's office!!
McCain "War hero not according to some ex POW's."
All that has been duly swept under the handy rug with the help of the liberal media. His elitist status has saved him in the same way that it earned him privilege in the camp but the other POW's don't forget. He was spared a good deal of what they suffered, yet the admonition to them has been "forget it".
I am thankful the Kerry comrades have stood shoulder to shoulder to "out" the "komrad". Forewarned is forearmed.
BEARS REPEATING!!!
I'm a 30 year vet, and McCain is my senator. I started to write an e-mail to him blasting him for his comments, but didn't. First, he would never see it and second, McCain listens to noone but his media buddies. Talking to McCain is like talking to the wall -- it doesn't compute. Kerry has made his Vietnam service the central justification for his ability to lead this nation during time of war. Thus, that service should be open to inspection. Even McCain should be able to see that. To say that those speaking out didn't serve on Kerry's boat and therefore don't know what they are talking about is just one of many asinine statements from McCain. I am a strong, conservative Republican, but I will not vote for McCain this year.
I sent McCain an e-mail talking about his double standard of letting Kerry talk about Vietnam but no one else. He needs to rethink his comment on this issue and amend it, or I will send money to whoever runs against him in Arizona.
Do they have a right to be heard? Yes.
But why should we pay any special attention to them? Because John Kerry put them on stage. He's the one who stood up in front of their picture, intimating that they supported his candidacy and his account of his actions in Viet Nam.
He did so again, just last week - after having received a "cease and desist" letter from those vets, who objected to that portrayal.
John Kerry put these vets pictures on the national stage, and John Kerry who asked us to ask the vets about what they thought of him.
He has absolutely no grounds for complaint if the vets choose to express their opinion.
Let's stick to FACTS on this of all threads.
You state McCain has something to hide.
Tell us, how do you know this?
Thanks for keeping an eye on McCreep.
Signed on today to post that trash about JohnMcCain.
This thread is a call to action to voice our displeasure
and objections to McCain's statements regarding the
Swiftie's TV ad, NOT to smear McCain or his service.
