This is exactly how the "Watergate Scandal" began ~ a petty crime ~ or so it seemed!
No doubt Kerry has visions of a Nixonian landslide in his future.

A check on Codey revealed he had seven active criminal and motor vehicle warrants out of multiple municipal courts, police said.
He was arrested and taken to police headquarters where he was processed and eventually turned over to West Orange Police Department.
Codey is employed as a solicitor for the Democratic National Committee, according to the police arrest report.
He faces charges of contempt of court in addition to other offenses, police said. He is being held in lieu of $3,577 bail, police said.

They couldn't even run a bloody backround check on someone they were sending door-to-door? Ye gad. I wonder who else they've got out there?

Wasn't also the Democrats in Missouri who employed felons to go door-to-door registering voters?

We may find this wasn't the first activity he had done for the DNC.
It could be they've been pressed to bring out all their operatives to shake the money tree from average citizens instead of just "bidness-types needin' protectin'." (/sarcasm)
Ya'll are treatin' this like he laughingly slipped through the handcuffs and was just off the usual suspects police line to get this job, but it may be this Codey guy was well screened for this job by the DNC and found to be eminently qualified. Itweren't nickles and dimes Soros has been puttin' in to the DNC! Codey could be one of the DNC's more experienced!
See if he wasn't a crew chief for a bunch of "soliciters."

Neighbors in Princeton apparently became suspicious of Mr. Codey and called police.
