Since it appears the national press has been complicit in creating Kerrys ficticious Biography, don't you think it is time that a law is passed where the press can be sued for Mal Practice and forbidden ( disbarred) from the industry, Heavily fined, or possibly jailed for negligence, incompetence or fraud?

-- Nope. That would destroy the first amendment. Setting first amendment issues aside, it would be wrought with political manipulation. In a free market, conservative ideas prevail. But for there to be a truly free market of ideas, there should be less regulation, not more. How about the thousands of tiny markets across the country where FOX news is barred from entering??? If people don't like the crap they see or hear, they don't watch it (see CNN's rating crash since FOX has came on the market).
