Maryland is MD, just FYI. ;)

But I don't suppose that's a requisite. It would make sense, if he could financially support it, to have a residence where he can put his family close enough to Washington that he doesn't need to spend so much time away from them. Morally, I have no problem with it. Politically? I have no idea. I suppose I'd have to take a poll. Why do you think it would be wrong to keep the house in MD, even if he owns a house in Illinois, as well?

I remember the "scandal" that erupted during Bush I's relection campaign when it was suddenly "discovered" that Bush's residency in Texas was nothing more than a post office box or something. Well...Why the heck pay taxes for 12 years on something that you don't use? But, that's the media for you. If you're a pubbie, you can do no right.

MA/MD... Typo! :-)

Cam, I've met you and genuinely like and respect you. But this Keyes thing is over the edge.

I voted for Keyes in the'96 primary, and have sent him financial donations in the past. In 2000, I followed up on some research I was sent, and now believe Alan Keyes is, at best, an opportunist. There are some things about how he used donations sent to him that don't add up, and I will share that with you here, if that is what you want.
