Alan Keyes in 2000:

I deeply resent the destruction of federalism represented by Hillary Clinton's willingness go into a state she doesn't even live in and pretend to represent people there, so I certainly wouldn't imitate it.

Principled conservative, huh?

Hildabeast lives in Washington, DC, where she owns a house. She does not live, and has never lived in New York.

Lets give Keyes a chance and see if he actually moves to Illinois.

The rules have changed, take what the ref gives or get crushed on the field. Didn't you ever play sports. If the ref allows holding you hold, if the ref allows goal tending you goal tend, if the ump counts an outside pitch a strike -

YOU SWING OR YOU STRIKE OUT.

If Keyes accepts this nomination, it will appear that his principles aren't quite as bedrock as he & others would have us believe. Personally I was opposed to carpetbagging when Hillary did it, and I think it would be hypocritical to support it now.

I agree that Obama needs opposition, it's just hard to believe there was no one credible in the entire state.

That said, it's going to be an interesting race...I'm looking forward to watching!

Comments like yours just goes to strengthen my position that Illinois republicans are just fu@$ing retarded.

Your so called "principles" have done nothing but turn Illinois into a socialist state. You elect corrupt RINOs who then step on their own di@ks and get tossed out of office. As soon as they place a real conservative on a ticket you guys start making asinine statements.

This is war bud. The normal rules dont apply here. Stow your "principles" and sit down.

Alan will not win this election, but then I dont think they expect him to. His job is to make osama look like an idiot and possibly get the hearts of Illinois republicans to start beating again.

Actually he has not yet accepted and said that he has to weigh the fact one should not parachute into a state and run for office..
