Are you two possessed by the spirit of Puddleglum? It's not puddleglum to insist my state party do better. It's not puddleglum to be offended that an East Coaster is coming to my state just because the national party didn't want to invest in Illinois talent. This situation was avoidable, but the party screwed it up.
My beef isn't really with Keyes. It's with the circumstances that bring him to the race.
