The seat is a goner. Keyes ain't gonna win or even come close, but it helps us two-fold: puts heat on Obama to not have a free ride and forces him to make promises he'd rather not make; and Keyes actually will help Bush -- because, otherwise, the downballot could have been a disaster with GOP voters (including black GOP voters) just staying home.

Agreed....this will get some of the base energized. With Lurch dropping in the polls and the anti-war nazis not happy with him...they will either go Nader or stay home.
Alan might not win...but the big picture sure is worth a shot.
