What I saw was a small piece of metal sticking very superficially in the skin of Kerry's arm. The metal fragment measured about 1 cm. in length and was about 2 or 3 mm in diameter. ... I doubt that it penetrated more than 3 or 4 mm.

I pulled a rose bush thorn out of my hand last weekend that bigger and deeper than that, and then kept on mowing. Sheesh. I also got a much larger wound one day last week from trying to break up a doggie chew (a very hard chew!) by striking it on the edge of the table. That one bled pretty good, but didn't get a bandaid either, just some hydrogen peroxide.

I'm in awe of your grit.
