Did you ever wonder about government efficiency and why they appear to have no conception what the word "efficiency" is?
>>It takes 12 to 18 people to operate the drones and monitor images sent back.
The (Hermes 450 drones) waist-high gray drones bearing the Homeland Security Department's seal weigh almost 1,000 pounds, have a 35-foot wingspan and can fly faster than 100 mph. They patrol at 12,000 to 15,000 feet and can stay aloft for 20 hours at a time.<<
I think these drones cost $2 million each. I have no idea what Glenn Spencers drones cost but the cost is nowhere near this and they can be operated by one man.
The Hermes 450 drones efficiency is "In 39 days of surveillance of the border, the drones have led to the apprehension of 248 illegal immigrants, he said."
This is a fantastic 6.3 illegal aliens per day. Cost per hour is ...I have no idea but I know Jackelope Breeder has a better succes rate than this working by himself without a drone!
He listens for them and then calls the Border Patrol and lets the agents do all the capturing, detaining, etc.
I wonder what the "12 to 18 people" could do using JB's tactics. I am positive it would be better than 6.3 per day.
Thanks JB

And I'm just willing to bet that Jackelope Breeder is not getting paid anywhere near the $2 million cost of just one of these Hermes drones.
At least the people making (and milking) this Hermes drone program are making some money off watching a few migrants slide through. Well, that progress, gubmint style for ya.
:~)
You're welcome, but it's not just me. There are dozens and dozens doing the same thing.
