I love to hate John Kerry. But, I have to say, I don't think this ad is effective. The folks talking sound really pissed off. Even if they have cause to be, that's not the way to sell people (unfortunately). If anything, it might create sympathy for Kerry and cause a backlash.
"The folks talking sound really pissed off"
I'd be pissed off too if I were them. He was a factor in undermining the American will to win this war. A war THEY put their lives on the line for. The media ignores his confession of war crimes, but goes bonkers over panties on the heads of thugs in Abu Gharib. Kerry lied, people died.

Seems to me like they have the right to...
Considering Kerry's personal poll #'s are real low, I doubt it will cause blowback.
First, this is not about "loving to hate" anybody. It is about truth being told.
The tone you hear and appear to be unfamiliar with is called "mature, adult, strong, decisive, righteously indignant, honorable". The tone is not "pissed off".
Sorry, but I must disagree with your assessment. They sound cool and collected if you ask me, not pissed off one bit. They are factual, level headed and have the credentials to back up their words (unlike the man, used loosely, they are talking about).
I disagree
I don't hate John Kerry. I just think he is a danger to my grandchildren and the USA.
The truth sometimes hurts but more often than not it helps. These guys are obviously telling the truth. Let the chips fall where they may.
It's definitely going to cause a backlash....and that backlash is going to hit Kerry right between the eyes. The gall of this man to believe that he could get away with misrepresenting his service to this nation is beyond belief. What is so frightening is that his ego and need of power has clouded his better judgement, he really thought he could get away with it.
Hmmm, you thought the same thing about Faren 9/11 right? Backlash right? Unfortunately, there wasn't much of one there, and I doubt there'd be much of one here. First of all this isn't a George Bush ad, this is a group of veterans' ad. 2nd of all, it's true and the true feelings from these men (unlike Faren 9/11). I think this is very powerful, remember, most lay people in the middle probably respect John Kerry's Vietnam service and think it'd help him be a good commander in chief. The truth needs to be told, let the chips fall where they may, and I think they'll end up on our side.
