And that's the problem with John Kerry: it's not that he's rich, but that he's rich in a very un-American way. His swank has a European air about it.

When he eats a hot dog, it appears as foreign to him as it did to Britain's King George VI......

His wife cannot, under any circumstances, become First Lady. It's not the fact that she has made some asinine comments in the past, it's because she wasn't born in the U.S.

First ladies, just like the president, should be born in the United States in order to take on the role.

Good article. However, I don't buy it when he writes:

"By contrast, George W Bush has one modest ranch in Crawford, a town no one would choose to live in unless it genuinely was his home."

Does anyone believe that one could buy a comparable ranch with a comparable home (as remodeled, but leaving out SS security upgrades) for less than a million dollars, or perhaps several million?

I just answered my own question by Goolgling for his financial disclosures:

"Bush's 1,583-acre Texas ranch is valued at $1 million to $5 million."

No problem, but hardly "modest."

hmmm..

arent these articles a bit low? i dont want to hear that kerry is french or cant eat a hot dog, or that he is much richer than bush when both of them are rich beyond our imaginings...

silly name calling and childish ranting doesnt forward anything politically on an intelligent level.

Financial disclosure forms have ranges like this into which an asset is placed.

One might look for local tax records if you want to know the assessed price.
