These bills, SB50 and SB1152, will be heard in the Senate Appropriations Committee TODAY!! Contact information for committee members is found at the link provided. SB 50 is the ban on .50 calibre guns, and SB1152 is the ammunitrition registration bill. Under that bill, you would need to show ID, provide your name, address, date of birth, and a thumbprint in order to purchase ammunition. That information will be made available to peace officers. Is that tyrannical, or what?
So what is the Gubernator - Pro-gun or anti-gun?
Dunno - both? Judging from his comments during the campaign, I'd guessed anti, and somewhat misinformed.
Of interest is that his staff is asking a pro-2nd lobby group for a lot of information regarding the ammo registration bill, especially what other states do or don't do with registering ammo sales. So, we'll see what happens. If the ammo registration bill makes it to his desk, I'll certainly be contacting his office about it.
SB1152 was NOT heard in the Senate committee today, it was heard in the Assembly Appropriations committee, contrary to the information I'd received via email this morning. It made it out of the Assembly committee. Next stop is the Assembly floor. Contact your Assembly critter!
Bumping. Please contact your assembly member about this bill.
Oh. I see. Thanks anyway.
