Can't say I blame them!
During my time in uniform, the military was - or tried to be - apolitical. I honestly do not recall an officer espousing a position or party, and I was for the most part a "silent" R. During my last hitch, '77-81, things began to change (thanks to Jimmy). Betcha now that the military, both EM and Officer would poll overwhelmingly Republican.
Yes, there surely was a time when patriotic values were not an issue; much less a 'Party-line issue'. The times are changing of course.
That said, we do know for sure, that those two Marines are not happy campers; and they will not be voting for effenkerry.
Seems I read that they offered - when asked for Kerry support - that they were happy with their present Commander-in-Chief. . .
Wish we knew what effen's is in fact, saying here. . .
. . .but as offered earlier; we may just have to accept Kerry's finger - at the least, as his final word.
