Washington, DC Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, M.D. (R-TN), Chairman of the 2004 Platform Committee, today announced the creation of an online Platform Portal and invited Americans to participate in the development of ideas for the 2004 Republican Platform. The web-based tool, which goes live today at 12 p.m. and can be accessed at www.gopconvention.com/platform, allows Republicans across the nation to contribute to the creation of the partys platform.
The best ideas most often come from Americans who solve real problems and live real dreams every single day, said Senator Frist. With your help, I am confident we will develop a platform that reflects the party's commitment to those issues most important in neighborhoods, homes, faith communities and workplaces all across the United States.
The 2004 Platform Committee is responsible for articulating the values and views of the Republican Party. The committee members will work with delegates from across the nation to build a platform that reflects the priorities of the majority of Americans. Suggestions submitted online will be included in that process.
Our goal is to hear from as many voices and points of view as possible, said Senator Frist. People who participate on-line can rest assured that it is well worth their time.
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (TN) will serve as Chairman of the 2004 Platform Committee. Congresswoman Melissa Hart (PA) and Colorado Governor Bill Owens will serve as Co-Chairs. Following a tradition set in 1968, the Chairmanship of the Platform Committee rotates among governors and members of the House and Senate. The Platform Committee, also known as the Committee on Resolutions, is comprised of one male and one female delegate from every state and territory.
The Republican National Convention will be held for the first time ever in New York City at Madison Square Garden from August 30 September 2, 2004. For more information about the 2004 Republican National Convention, please visit www.gopconvention.com.

Hmmmmm, interesting.
FairTax bump......let's send them a message!
Secure the US/Mexico border!
Bump.... Ideas for later..
Probably just want to get you on their mailing list but it is worth a try.
It's called common sense. /sarcasm off/
Democracy in action!
My idea:
I would like for you to start talking about impeaching activist judges. There are a lot of hard core conservatives that are tired of the political process because when we elect someone, the judges usurp legislative power and legislate from the bench. The Democrats know this is how there agenda wins.
I would like to see Republicans start to standing up to these activist judges and start impeaching them. This would wake up call for these activist judges.
That's a given. Another way to look at the lack of a 2nd Amend. category is that the GOP isn't giving any ability for the anti-gun people to lodge their opinions.
Here's your chance to let them know how you feel about illegal aliens.
Use other a write it in.
Term limits.
Two terms maximum and you cannot go to work for a firm doing business with the government for three years.
Let the people decide how long someone should be in office for.
Thanks for the ping! I'll be sure to let them know EXACTLY what I think about illegal immigration. :)
Illegal immigration and the suggestion that many ranchers along our borders would happliy allow small groups of national gaurdsmen camp on their property.
Illegal Immigration
U.S. Citizenship is the greatest birthright any American has. This is a privilege that should be closely guarded.
When we look the other way at illegal immigration, we set a tone of lawlessness that gives a false impression to illegals when they enter our country.
I will propose legislation that designates a 30 day window for illegals to settle their affairs and leave the State of Pennsylvania. After that, a $100 bounty will be placed on illegal aliens that are turned in to the police by private citizens.
This program will be funded in two ways: Reduced strain on social services by the over-served illegal community and by the State auctioning off all the possessions illegals have when they are deported.
Any locality that refuses to enforce the standing immigration laws, Philadelphia for example, will simply be denied any state funding whatsoever.
