"Effective ad."
How is it effective? They don't even show president Bush in it!
I think if he wants to get positive... Bush should start a TV ad campaign, using a popular country song of his choice(most country musicians are with bush), showing him hanging out with country musicians, nascar racers, baseball players, farmers, Blue collar workers, and other average folks. Kerry could not compete as he would look ridiculous in an ad with any "average folks", and he would p- off his base if he used a country song.
If he wants to stay positive fine. But at least be creative! And at least put BUSH in the ads. Why isn't bush in any of the shots in this ad?
He's already got the 'last four years have been challenging" ad.
I agree. The whole thing is really weak and pointless. He has a ton of great pictures and video of him showing his leadership. What is he waiting for? Where's the footage of Bush on the Pile of Rubble after 9/11? If this is the best Rove can do, fire him.
Let me answer your question with three questions.
First how many Coke ads have you seen where they don't even show a bottle or can of Coke?
Secondly how many Pepsi ads have you seen where they don't even show a bottle or can of Pepsi?
Thirdly how many Budweiser ads have you seen where they don't even show a bottle or can of Bud?
Either 3 of the largest advertisers in the world and President Bush don't know what they are doing, or you don't know what you are doing.
Most successful ads show the product... especially political ones. Most Coke and Beer ads show the product, So i'm not sure what youre talking about.
If Bush isn't shown then the ad is illegal and will have to be pulled.
Based on the transcript it appears he is, indeed, in it.
"This is a positive message. A good message. It counterbalances the Kerry negative message that has been playing on the airwaves."
Yep, and some won't miss the irony that the first wave of "new" Bush/Cheney ads are positive, while Kerry called for civility then went negative....in the next breath.
I have seen the ads about Kerry's record. I suspect we will be inundated with more of the same right after the GOP convention.
"Effective ad."

I'll take a guess and state there isn't an American voting in November that does not know what Bush and Cheney look like.......(grin)
What average Americans don't know yet is what, exactly, Kerry really is...a far left liberal with a 18 year voting record that can't be denied.
Although, Kerry will try......

Agreed. So i think this ad should have been about that instead. I don't see how this ad was the least bit effective. it didnt tell you why you should vote for bush, and they didnt even show you bush.
I have seen a few Kerry ads. Most of them have been 527's, all of them have been negative. The new one is scenes from the convention... I've seen it twice.
