I prevailed upon my "psychiatrist" husband
to please tell me in round numbers, how many
actual rape victims he has counseled in his 30+
years of practice (he said: 100+) and of those, how many
did he recall as having told him they had sex
within hours of their respectives rapes: ZERO.
The fact is, he said, the majority of his patients
became frgid afterwards. That was part of his counseling.
Thank you for asking your husband for his professional opinion. Several years ago a young co-worker was raped in her apartment. She wasn't beaten just overpowered and overwhelmed. She never returned to the apartment again, several friends went over and packed everything up for her. She moved back to her parents home and spent about a yr in counseling for frigidity.
