Being interviewed on military manning now.
Says manning is good, but all the things we are involved in puts stress on the force.
Says we've been running 15% over our authorized end strength because Bush signed off on it.

Seems to me this means that it's Congress' fault that our army is so small. They need to authorize a bigger force in their next appropriation. I don't think it will be hard for the services to meet bigger manning goals through recruiting. Enough of this draft crap.
I agree, but the spectre of a draft summons up old Vietnam memories.... and to the Dems and the media, Vietnam is the only template used to judge this present war.
