China built a wall. It is easy to seal up the border. You start in Washington, Maine, Minnesota and you work your way cross country.

Same thing in the south

Cost? 100 billion. And worth every penny.

Israel has a much much more difficult job: They have to defend people right up against their border from attack, e.g. from snipers. And Israel's fence has to withstand heavily armed assaults. We just have to keep people crossing and detect when they do try to defeat the fence and respond. Much much cheaper.

Now this is up my alley. We use an Israeli security fence at my correctional facility. Taut-wire it's called. Divided into zones and signals base when one of the barbed wires is deflected.
