weather buoy #41025 is now seeing sustained windws at 37 knots, gusts to 45 kts and about 17 ft. wave heights. It should be intercepted by Alex's eye in a couple of hours. Pressure is 29.46 inches and 'falling rapidly'.

The Cape Lookout weather station (onshore) is getting its closest approach now: 51 kt sustained winds from the North; 56 kt gusting; 29.38 inch barometric pressure (still falling).
