Since when is having the sole speaking platform a debate? People booed, which was the only way for them to show their displeasure. There was no debate, it was simply someone using the time that they should spend singing talking.
People have the right to not like what they hear.
Dork. YOU said what you wanted. MY county said what IT wanted. I see no problem here.
G'evening to ya, btw
VERY thin skinned, indeed.
How are YOU doing this fine evening?
Gee Don, people paid for something that you offered to provide. But instead you insult them. Duh...
And since when is a "debate" only one way?
Don Henley is "Dirty Laundry".
Shoulda sung "Get Over It" and dedicated THAT to Linda Ronstadt/Michael Moore, et al.
Poor has-beens-first no more hit singles, and then they find out that nobody cares about their politics, either. Hey, Don-people like it when you're booed. So what will you do, now that the fans of summer have gone?
Oh that silly audience .. and all this time they thought they bought tickets to a Concert
These liberals STILL DON'T GET IT
No Don, not since three Democrats went to Baghdad and declared Saddam, a Hitler-type of dictator responsible for the rape and genocide of hundreds of thousands of his own citizens, an honest man and our president a liar and assorted democrats have been doing the same ever since. That kinda takes away any "civil debate" anyone wants to have.
Doing swimmingly, my friend -- hope you are too :-)
Don Henley: "You can check out any time you like."
Oh yeah....me too. Hey, wanna come out here so we can go back to the Library, one more time this summer?
We'd be HONORED to have you as our guest!
hehehe
Oh you silly .. Didn't you know the liberals never like to be questioned
GOOD one!!!!!
It's a GREAT song. I don't know why they booed. I think Dubya would agree with the sentiment, if not the action advocated. I'm 100% with the song. Maybe not with Henley, who's a liberal puke, but I'm 100% with the song.
No one likes us-I don't know why
We may not be perfect, but heaven knows we try
But all around, even our old friends put us down
Let's drop the big one and see what happens
We give them money-but are they grateful?
No, they're spiteful and they're hateful
They don't respect us-so let's surprise them
We'll drop the big one and pulverize them
Asia's crowded and Europe's too old
Africa is far too hot
And Canada's too cold
And South America stole our name
Let's drop the big one
There'll be no one left to blame us
We'll save Australia
Don't wanna hurt no kangaroo
We'll build an All American amusement park there
They got surfin', too
Boom goes London and boom Paree
More room for you and more room for me
And every city the whole world round
Will just be another American town
Oh, how peaceful it will be
We'll set everybody free
You'll wear a Japanese kimono
And there'll be Italian shoes for me
They all hate us anyhow
So let's drop the big one now
Let's drop the big one now
