Don't mean to be Captain Obvious, but won't these same voters still vote for Kerry, despite the fact that they left during his speech? All that matters to them is Bush getting kicked out.

You are right about the Democrat Party faithful. With that crowd, it's "Anybody but Bush". (Just like for us it was "Anybody but Clinton".)

But there were many casual voters sitting at home, people who are neither Republican or Democrat, looking for a reason to vote for John Kerry. And many of them just didn't see it.

I'm Mr. Diamond6. My wife just posted. I think it's important to note that the people who left the convention in the middle of his speech are part of the most ultra-liberals of the Democratic party, as probably 90% of the delegates lean heavily left. For them to leave early is big news, but if they weren't thrilled with the speech what does that say about the moderate Democrats and Republicans. There are some stupid electorate out there, but there are many out there that see through the fraudulent smokescreen that is John Kerry. They will be the ones that make a difference, not the ultra liberals.
