Teresa Heinz Kerry's "shove it" phrase to a Pittsburgh editor was the most cited Kerry campaign message in the press last week mentioned 381 times in American publications, according to Factiva, a Dow Jones/Reuters company that tracks daily press mentions.
But the two words also brought death threats, insults and accusations upon Colin McNickle, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review editorial-page editor who vexed Mrs. Kerry by asking her to explain her claim that "un-American traits" were emerging in politics.
[snip]
In a Boston Globe interview, singer Patti LaBelle advised Mrs. Kerry to "pimp slap" Mr. McNickle; liberal columnist Molly Ivins suggested he had inappropriately "touched" Mrs. Kerry; and former Baltimore Sun columnist Jack Germond told CNN that Mr. McNickle "was not a legitimate newspaperman."
He responded in a Tribune-Review column Sunday, explaining he was only seeking an example of "un-American traits" from Mrs. Kerry, but "I got a finger in the face and was told to 'shove it.' I have been told worse things by more important people."
A mention of Mr. McNickle's column in Editor & Publisher was picked up by the Drudge Report yesterday, ultimately reversing the firestorm of criticism, Mr. McNickle said.
"Today, I got 1,700 e-mails in four hours, most supportive, saying I'd done a good job," Mr. McNickle said.
"But you know what?" he pointed out. "Mrs. Kerry never answered my question."

She was asked a legitimate question about something everyone heard her say and then she rudely DENIED ever saying it and insulted Mr. McNickle in the process.
Now the Dems try to insult every american's intelligence by spinning it with, "She speaks her mind, and she speaks the truth"?
It just goes to show that they still believe if you repeat a lie often enough, people will begin to believe it's the truth.
There are a number of things that the voters don't like about her, and I think Grandpa Dave just nailed it. She IS scaring voters away. People in general do not like wealthy rude females who are abusive. It is a MAJOR turnoff. Also, I think there is an element of concern with voters that if this woman is in the White House, it would be four years of constant embarrassment and shame. It is one thing to have other nations hate us for various reasons, it is another to have them constantly laughing at us because we have the proverbial sitcom couple in the White House. It would be like having Stan Laurel as the dorky doofus husband, and Roseann Barr as the pushy rude wife.
Admiral Zumwalt and other officers wanted Kerry out, first out of their outfits, and then out of theater, because he was out of control. He married a woman for her money whom he cannot control. It will be ironic indeed if he loses for lack of control while claiming he could control us all better than Bush.
And I, too, would still like an answer...
Very believable from liberals. They are an evil group and this battle is spiritual.
Ever since our oldest Dachsund (who's rather like a little old man anyway) heard her say that, he's been argumentative.
He has always been one to mimic our speech back to us in doggy syllables.
Now, when I ask him to do things...I get "Rahf, rah!"
Thanks Tear-ehhhh-sah!
Proving again, how quickly things go to the dogs when Dems are in charge.
And of course, no one in the media mentions the concept that perhaps a reporter getting death threats in response to a question might raise an issue of free speech (or free press). Now death threats are what you might reasonably call "reprisal." Of course, the life of a journalist at a "right wing rag" doesn't begin to compare in importance to Whoopi Goldberg's Slim Fast contract or Linda Ronstadt's Vegas gig, which of course have Constitutional protection far beyond what our little minds can comprehend. Can you imagine if Mrs. Bush told a NY Times reporter to "shove it" and justified her action by saying the NYT is just a "left wing rag"??? Incidentally, given that the topic of Mrs. Kerry's speech was the need for civility in political discourse, does she intend to reprimand these "supporters" who are sending death threats?
Plato characterized them as "Sophists", "superficial manipulators of rhetoric and dialectic". Some things never change.
"On the "$ OTHER" line for amounts in excess of the ones they'd listed, I wrote in "SHOVE IT!"
That might merit a separate vanity post on how to deal with requests from the rats and the eco terrorists wanting money.
My response is "Shove It!"
This is an excellent summary of the T Rex effect of Terrezazazazaza with a lot of voters.

The T Rex description came from a 12 year old son of a man we know. He was referring to her as T Rex, and I asked where that came from. He said his 12 year old son labeled her that during the convention. In fact he became an observer for his family. Whenever he saw her on the tv, he would holler, "T Rex is on!" Then the whole family would come watch T Rex in action.
Stan Laurel had an innocent dufas charm. Kerry has zero charm and innocence.
T Rex is the perfect nickname....Thanks. SOme gutsy person who is interviewing tRex betweeen now and the convention. needs to show the video of her saying "UNAmerican" and then repeat the question. "WHat did you mean?"
SHould be repeated until she answers and offers apology.
BTW "Help is on the way" has been translated to "THE help is on the way" Referring to the valet/butler.

Did you hear about the special lunches the Kerry's and Edweirds had on their bus after their show date in Wendy's.
They apparently ditched the Wendy's food after the pictures and went on their luxury bus to eat very special lunches.
No argument.
I had the same feeling about the prices.
The head chef is a top CIA graduate.
The appetizer or salad in their restaurants start at about what the meal supposedly was.
Got a new tag line....and now must go pick up the Wendy's $1 special.
BTW don't forget to check out the thread on Skeery and T rex's tipping problems.....THE help is on the way...but they aren't paid very much.
