Glory Days Are Here

Posted on 08/02/2004 8:31:40 PM PDT by SamAdams76

So as I posted a day or two ago, John Kerry has virtually no bounce from his convention and is, in fact, well ensconced in George McGovern territory (who had a negative three point convention bounce).

Now some some might come here and bicker that because it is such a polarized election that there was comparatively very few undecided that could swing either way. Ok, but 46-47% is 46-47% and that isn't going to win a general election where there is no strong third party candidate.

The fact is that the DNC convention was to be the high-water mark of the Kerry campaign. This was where he was to soar 10-15% (maybe even 20%) over President Bush.

Instead, after the much-ballyhooed Democratic convention, Kerry is running either about even or several points behind.

Folks, this election is over.

I mean, where does Kerry gain ground from here? He has already picked his running mate (one of the Breck girls). He's already had his fancy-schmanzy convention. Let's face it. Kerry is an elite Massachusetts liberal. He's a gigolo's gigolo (dumping a wife worth a quarter billion for a wife worth at least three times that amount). He's a phony. He's a dork. Above all, he's a horse's ass.

And his wife! She makes Hillary look like Betty Crocker for crying out loud. I mean Teresa Heinz is one creepy broad. I mean, if she was hired for The Exorcist, the director wouldn't need special effects for her head to turn around if you know what I mean.

So what was Kerry's "jump the shark" moment? Take your pick. There was a thread by P.J. Comix about what it could have been, and it quickly ran out to almost 200 replies.

I say it was when Kerry went to give his acceptance speech at last week's (didn't it seem much longer ago?) DNC convention. There he gave a salute and said "John Kerry reporting for duty".

Are you kidding?

Reporting for duty? This from an absentee senator who missed nearly 90% of his votes this year and missed a vast majority of his various committee meetings! What nerve. But the Bush campaign did not miss this beautiful clip that they will be sure to use in campaign ads later on this year. Imagine campaign clips showing the dorking Kerry giving his salute and saying "John Kerry reporting for duty" and then going through the laundry list of all the votes and committee hearings that he has missed! Then top it off with a short clip of Kerry roller-blading or biking or skiing at one of his (or rather his wife's) Colorado ski resort mansion.

Yeah, it seems that Kerry doesn't have the time in his busy schedule to do the job that he was elected for in Massachusetts. But he doesn't seem to miss a chance to mix with the beautiful people on Martha's Vineyard or at the ski resorts in Colorado.

These fall ads are going to be DEVASTATING!

We are talking possible 1972 election results here. You heard it here first. All the Bush campaign has to do is take full advantage of the opportunities being handed them by this pompous jackass.

Compare for example, Laura Bush to Teresa Heinz.

Need I say more?

Now the Republican convention is coming up and President Bush will have the last word after that nonsense in Boston last week.

The Democrats had, among other "luminaries", Al Sharpton, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, and the pathetic Ron Reagan Jr. speaking at their convention last week. Yikes! What Marxist scumbags. No wonder people were tuning out.

By comparison, the Republicans will have Rudolph Guiliani, Arnold Schwarzenegger, (Democrat) Zell Miller (who will be endorsing Bush), George Pataki, Lt. Gov. Michael Steele (R-MD), Senator Elizabeth Dole (R-NC), and many other first rate people speaking at their convention.

And this will all take place in the Big Apple. New York City. On the eve of the 9/11 anniversay.

What a gutsy move! Having the Republican convention at the epicenter of 9/11 close to the anniverarsy of the infamous terrorist attacks. And in hostile (Republican) territory to boot! Imagine if John Kerry and the Democrats had their convention in Houston, Texas! Now that would have been a gutsy move. But the Democrats aren't gutsy people. They had their convention in Boston. The place where queer marriage was first legalized. In other words, a friendly place for Democrats.

The fact that President Bush actually got a bounce out of the Democratic convention speaks towards a landslide victory this November. Now some naysayers might say that President Bush won't get much of a "bounce" out of the upcoming RNC convention. But I say "Bully" to that. Bush WILL get a HUGE bounce out of the upcoming RNC convention. Imagine the convention in NEW YORK CITY! Imagine the ELECTRICITY that will be in the air! Imagine the fine speakers that we will have

Don't forget that Democrat former Mayor of New York City Ed Koch has also endorsed President Bush in a well written essay published in AM NY, a new free paper distributed all over NYC. ( I don't think there is an on line version, though, so I can't provide a link.)
