Update DFW scare: turns out the suspicious item was a microphone. No word as to whether or not it was a live mic.

Fort Worth illness: I believe it's just a viral infection going round. This one causing a double whammy of resp/intest probs is unusual. Viruses are strange little critters by definition. I spoke with a physician in Ft Worth today who denied knowledge of anything "odd". I might add that a virus could cause a perforated intestine but protozoa is a more likely culprit.
