its odd, becasue Hitchens makes it sound like it was mid level people, perhaps in US law enforcement or intelligence, that were bugging out and calling people. was their any evidence that congresspeople were leaving town, and sending their familes away?
I am just thinking maybe that threat was all a plan by GWB to get the media off his back for awhile after 911!
I assumed it was members of Congress also. I don't know for certain.
