You are right it is hard to be preached to when it comes to religion, politics, drugs and kids.
I remember the days I would tell people don't preach to me about GOD....
Honestly one of the reasons I could never be Jewish is not because I think the religion is garbage but is because I could never follow all the rules of Judiasm I don't follow all the rules of any religion that is why Jesus is so important to me because he came to give a person like ME a hopeless Sinner a chance to be part of GOD's Kingdom.
I have broken every one of GOD's TORAH commandments with the exception of killing anybody and GOD still loves me through the blood sacrafice of his son Jesus Christ that is the most exciting news I could receive so I like to share it....
I understand and accept that YOU feel that way, but remember that your zeal to share it can come across as oppressive, if you don't accept that others may not want to hear it.
More importantly, when that information is shared in a way that could be deemed "stealth mode" to impressionable youths, then that's just wrong. When teens who have been brought up Jewish are presented with Christian values masquerading as Jewish values, then there's a problem here... I'm going to say something that may come across as really hateful, but it's not meant that way...
Let's say that your child, a decent, good kid, were to get involved in a Christian Identity youth group, that spoke about how the Christian Identity movement actually completes Jesus' mission. I have no doubt that you would be shocked and angry, since (I am assuming that) you would feel that these people are twisting everything you taught your children. Please understand that I AM NOT COMPARING THESE GROUPS OR MISSIONARIES TO CHRISTIAN IDENTITY SECTS!!!!! However, I am using the same tactics to make a point. Please understand how unnerving this can be.
And, there are a lot of Jews who are first generation Americans who heard stories growing up about forced conversions and terrible mistreatment.
My grandfather, who emmigrated from Poland to the US in 1932 flat out said until the day he died to never trust a Christian. As a child in Poland, his family was constantly harrassed, and he experienced a number of pogroms. Later, just before the Russian revolution, he worked for the Czar's army, as a bootmaker, and he experienced a lot of bad things at the hands of the Russian Orthodox Church, and Cossacs.
So, please understand where this hypersensativity comes from.

G-d's mitzvot are garbage? Too bad he didn't ask you or your pastor.
At least we can admit that people's own weaknesses cause bad shit to happen, not some imaginary boogha boogha.
