U.S. Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kerry is surrounded by staff as he delivers a speech
at a night time political rally in Zanesville, Ohio, July 31, 2004. Kerry is the first presidential candidate to
come out of his nominating convention with a negative impact on his poll ratings since George McGovern,
for whose 1972 campaign Kerry once worked. McGovern recently advised Kerry not to deliberately postpone
his own nomination as that would be "the worst idea since I delayed my 1972 acceptance speech until 2 a.m.,
when all the voters were asleep." McGovern went on to lose 49 states, all but Massachusetts. REUTERS/Jim Young
Unreal---something's up.
Who slipped a mole into the Reuters office?
"De plane, boss. . .De Plane!"
Mcgovern did not lose points during his convention. He broke even. AP/Reuters won't face the fact that John Kerry is the first challenger EVER to lose points during his convention.
Lmao! That is my most favorite quote from the Simpsons!
Tomorrow, Jim Young will find a pink slip on his desk.
Are we not men? we are
Kerry still leads in OH, MI and NV. When that changes I will fell much better. As Al Gore found out, these national polls are meaningless.
This would really be great if anything but the picture actually CAME from Reuters.
Maybe they needed bigger balloons.
Has anyone noticed that the media are running all of these unusual, very dramatic pics of Kerry? It's as if they are trying to cast him in some magical glow.
We're getting closer to solving the mystery of the legs.
Kerry's best bet is to stay in France until the election's over. The more the American people see of him, the less they like him.
They couldn't handle the balloons they did have and the drop was not done in a properly dramatic or timely fashion.
A hint of the incompetence this duo represents.
Please please please come back.
kerry is a putz, and Bush is kicking our ass !
And his running mate who has all of 5 years in the Senate, is a lawyer WHO sues DOCTORS. An abulance chaser of the highest order who is best known for channeling fetuses, after they have been born. This has got to be the most unqualified, ridiculous duo EVER to vie for the White House. If it weren't so damn GRAVE, it would be comical.
I clicked on the link, and the caption is different. It now says:

Kerry set off from Boston on Friday with running mate John Edwards in a fleet of behemoth blue buses. They were bound on two-week, 21-state marathon that will take them 3,500-miles (5,600 km) by road, rail and boat. REUTERS/Jim Young US ELECTION
