Have you noticed, TC, that F1483 dropped in to ask why anyone needed a .50, but hasn't stuck around to debate the issue? Anyway, Fischer, I think your question has been answered.
Not a question of need. Not a question of why. It is a question of right.
"I want one" and can pay for it is good enough. What I use it for is none of your business.
Gun owners rights Bump!
Hope to own a nice .50 cal myself someday!
We should declare ourselves a minority group and declare this nonsense as hate speech!
yeah, and while they are at it why dont they just Ban ALL TERRORISTS threats to the free world (e.g. Al Qaeda & Co) and all of a sudden all Terrorists are just magically gonna GO AWAY!!
Right?!?!
/sarcasm off
If you can heft it, aim it and shoot it, you should be able to have it. ;-)
And you need free speech -- why?
The larger calibers have been around since before the Revolutionary War with .50 caliber black powder weapons now available to hunters in most states even at Walmart. Usually a state has separate seasons for black powder, bow and rifle. Using a .50 cal. gives a hunter extra time in the woods. It's also more demanding because you only have one shot unlike one of the smaller caliber semi-auto or bolt action .270, .308, .30-06, etc. or lever action in say .30-30.
What kind of gun I own is not your business. Go back to DU.
And you need a computer, television, and car why?
"TexasCowboy-And you need a 50 caliber weapon--why?"
Because I want one for fun to target practice. Good enough?
Thanks for the ping. Our enemies never rest, I will give them that much.
I think anti-gunners are deathly afraid of us gun nuts.
They think we're all crazy!
LOL!
The...uh....50mm weapon? Are you suggesting Potato Guns should be OUTLAWED?????
This battle will never end.
We've got to make sure our kids and grandkids are prepared to fight this battle.
Well, I ain't gonna give up my guns, not to anybody, ever. And thats about all I got to say about that.
You want to know why? I'll tell you why. It's none of your darned business. Go and get your own life.
Or the wrong forum?
Or just a jerk?
Cause he wants one, and the second amendment is part of the Bill of Rights, not the Bill of Needs.
Since he already has one, I guess he doesn't *need* another one, although he might *want* another one.
