Yup, I think it will be Rudy. He has been very visible of late in countering the Dims positions. I think he will be rewarded.

Although McCain, as much as I think he is a loose cannon, might be the right move as well. Kerry could not argue that appointment.

I would agree with McCain (seems up his alley) but Arizona now has a Dem Governor making this unlikely.

Rudy would be the best, giving him about 2 years to get the Department up and running, then having him step down to take on Hillary in 2006!!!!

Jeez, i hope it's not mccain... i think he wants to try to make to many people (sides) happy... we need someone who has OUR safety first and foremost and not be afraid to suggest acting proactively and pre-emptively if necessary (not that that position will be able to have a say, but who knows?)

Makes perfect sense to mention today that an "exhaustive search for a director" will start immediately...culmunating in a Giuliani selection, say, the week(end) before the GOP convention.
