Great post. Thank you!

During the encounter, journalists often asked Skiles, 43, of San Juan Capistrano, for information for their reports about the fighting, but he thought they were missing something.

"I kept thinking: What about valor? Why weren't any of the reporters interested in the valor of our Marines?

"All anyone wants to write about is our dead and wounded..."

( Rick Rogers, San Diego Union-Tribune, wrote about the valor of our Marines. )

Our troops over there are indeed heros.

But the Administration blew Fallujah.

Fallujah is a min-Tallibanist State in Iraq which the Administration has permitted to continue to exist, and is attemtping to control in a manner which puts our men in uniform unnnecessarily in harm's way. Additonally, it may very be a source of terrorist activity against the U.S., the Iraqi government and our other allies, such as we have.

The Falluajans should be surrounded by a wall and ditch, and given a deadline for evacutating their women, and children too young to use weapons. Then we should level the city - blow it away - every mosque, every minaret and outhouse and eveything alive in it. And leave the blackened hole as a monument to what ingrates and lunatics can expect from us - WITHOUT loosing any of or additional brave troops.

We would have not thought twice about such an action in WW2.

The Fallujans have selected this fate for themselves and every live Fallujan is a ticking time bomb.

When the time is right, it will go BOOM, and there will be lots of small pieces of terrorists all over the plce!

Unfortunately I'm not in charge.

The State Department shouldn't be making military decisions once hostilities have commenced. That should be left to professionals - professional soldiers, that is, not professional diplomats.

Real Marines loathe Kerry, they don't admire him.

Yeah.

1) It would reduce American casulties substantially.

2) It would reduce the pool of terrorists and Al Quaida operatives in Iraq.

3) It would set an example of what happens to areas which try to set up another Taliban-like state to oppose us.

Why should American soldiers be put in harms way to pacify a bunch of lunatics who are determined to kill themselves and us in order to achieve thier objectives? That's why we used a nuclear bomb on Hieroshima and Nagasaki after experiencing smiliar behavior by Japanese soldiers in the Pacific Islands.

I fail to see any difference in the situation here.

You really shouldn't hold your manhood in public.
