I haven't had time to read the entire thread, but I think I should mention that cult director Paul Morrissey, who did the classic "Andy Warhol" trilogy of Flesh, Trash and Heat, and the horror spoofs Blood for Dracula and Flesh for Frankenstein, is a die-hard conservative. Trash, especially is a sad and angry comment on the destructive and wasteful nature of the welfare state and the drug culture.
