A favorite cult movie among the office-based contractors here in Iraq is "Office Space." We've watched it several times and it just doesn't get old. We quote stuff out of it to each other during the day.
Yeeaahhh....that'd be greeeat...."

The Atomic Cafe has footage of VP candidate Lloyd Bentsen (earlier in his political career) urging voters to petition Congress to nuke North Korea.

If you liked The Knack and How to Get It, maybe you should also check out The School For Scoundrels (with Terry Thomas).
More advise for the man on the make.

Young Frankenstein must be about to hit its 30th anniversary.
I saw the trailer for this film during a rerelease of Gone With The Wind. That movie did little for me (and I haven't seen it since) but in the middle there was an intermission (lights on and all) and during the intermission, the trailer for Young Frankenstein was shown.

Just missed the 350th post, let me conclude with a rememberance of the East Side/Dead End - Kids/Bowery Boys (Huntz Hall, Leo Gorcey and the rest including 2 films with Bela Lugosi).

Legend has it that Orson Welles hated Sellers so much that he could not tolerate being in the same room with Sellers. In scenes when the audience supposes they are playing against each other.....I believe one scene had them playing cards......each actor's scenes were shot separately, then spliced together. Such is the "magic" of Hollywood.
