Too bad he's working for a left-wing group, but his Bush impression is pretty funny, and this satire is pretty mild.
Not funny- we are at war.
but old school rocks
I'm a big Will Ferrell fan, but I didn't think the video was offensive or funny. Seems like Will's heart wasn't in it. Not worth the download time, even with broadband.
Mostly humorous satire, and mild as you indicated. What is it with show biz types being 90% lib? Does acting numb the brain?
Does acting numb the brain?
Pretty funny - had me LOL several times. First 60 seconds is the best. The "...I approved this message..." stuff is absolutely spot on. I don't think I could tell the difference between Ferrell and Bush on that part.
What I would suggest is that people actually fill out the form on that web page---the one ACT will be sending to the FCC---but in the "additional comments" form, blast ACT and MoveOn.org for the fraud :)
Now you may not want to add your email address. That's fine. Just put "xxx@mailinator.com", where xxx is any random email name, as your email address. It will be guaranteed to work.
Will Ferrell is the most overblown "personality" in show business.
As Fred Willard said when he was doing a gig from the Democratic Convention for the tonight show: I haven't seen this many Democrats since the last time I was in Hollywood.
I said "overblown" in that post. Can a write for Ferrell?
I've never thought anyone from this particular batch of SNL'ers were funny.. That show hasn't been funny since the cast that featured Dana Carvey and Phil Hartman. Talk about jumping the shark.....
What the heck - it's sort of funny. Just remember... Don't listen to liberals - or Democrats, or other Republicans who make fun of me, or read the news - or watch the news, except Fox.
Download it, delete it from your cache, and download it again - and again and again. Bandwidth isn't free.
"Americans must be able to trust the facts in political ads. Every voter has the right to truthful advertising. Free speech is no defense to massive, purposeful fraud.
You, the FCC, have an obligation to ensure that broadcast stations around the country do not transmit misleading, deceptive and fraudulent advertising.
We, the undersigned American citizens, demand that you require proof of fact before airing political advertisements. Laws must change to protect our democracy."
Laws must change? How 'bout "congress shall make no law" limiting or regulating speech!!! The audacity of these twerps, that they call upon the government to censor political speech which they consider a "massive fraud" if the speech comes from the Republicans.
But I wonder, will ACT call for "laws to be changed" to stop Michael Moore's movie from being shown - to prevent fraud? I doubt it.
Imagine if these people get in power. They'll kick Rush off the radio. They'll shut down FreeRepublic. Laws will change and the FCC will be empowered to censor speech. Unbelievable.
He's a one trick pony - playing different variations of 'obnoxious dumb guy'.
For his sake I hope he's investing wisely.
I don't know man, but that was just plain stupid.
I know you don't. Try hard to put the message together.
Lame.
