THIS IS ILLOGICAL

"If we demonstrate an America that has a foreign policy that is smarter, more engaged ... and more respectful of the world, we're going to bring people to our side," Kerry added. "We're not only not going to put additional troops there, that's the way to bring our troops home."

"and more respectful of the world"

This is comical. This is like trying to be buddies with your kids instead of being their parent.

we don't need to be more respectful of the world (i.e. more like France) the entire WORLD needs to be mroe respectful of the U.S. and it's allies because it might just be their border we move across.

So, the Frenchurian Candidate "knows how to get other countries to like us".

I believe he does know that, and that is exactly what I am afraid of.

Kerry says he would send more troops to Iraq if necessary

By Jill Lawrence, USA TODAY

MIAMI — More U.S. troops and a new president could be needed to win international support for U.S. efforts in postwar Iraq, Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry said Sunday.

The Massachusetts senator said President Bush has created a "quandary" for the nation by failing to develop a broad coalition to fight the war, to secure Iraq and to let countries that didn't fight participate in rebuilding.

"It may well be that we need a new president, a breath of fresh air, to re-establish our credibility with the rest of the world" and bring other countries into Iraq, Kerry said on NBC's Meet the Press.

He also said that "if it requires more troops in order to create the stability that eliminates the chaos" discouraging the United Nations and other countries from helping, "that's what we have to do."

More brown layers on Kerry's nose. It is a contest to see how many coats his nose can hold.

"Beneath the phony, mil-thickness-venier of patriotism" ...... great analogy.

When I see and hear Edwards its like Back to the Future, his hair style, demeanor, etc. reveal a kid lost in a time warp between the modern hamburger stands of bthe 50's and early 60's and the post-modernism which is the world that Kerry inhabits.

Weird.

"Burned"? Does he mean the back room deals with Saddam that the French, Russians and Germans had going on weapons and unauthorized trade that came to a halt with the U.S. action to enforce the U.N. WMD ultimatum?

Kerry said Washington must stay the course

I give him 4 1/2 months before he finds a way out. What is the equivalence of three Purple Hearts in the international theatre? Maybe the UN has medals he can toss. What a looser!

If he's not sending any more US troops to Iraq, then why is he advocating permanently raising the end strength of the Army by 40,000 troops? If he believes that the French, Germans or Russians will some how come through with troops for Iraq, then why isn't he (as the great patriot he is) urging, nay demanding, that they do so now (and not waiting 'til after the election). In fact, if he could get the Frogs, Krauts and Russkis to send troops now, he could really show the American people just how effective he'd be as President.

"What an insufferable a***ole," is the first thing that came to mind when I read this piece. Can't stand John Effin', that's for sure.

Convention week and weekend has gotten me on slow burn mode, what with the out and out lies and misinformation being slung by the Left.

I can't wait to hit back, and hard.

74. Isn't this a flip-flop?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the gentleman who was saying we needed MORE troops in Iraq?

Good one. Thanks!

Have you heard that Kerry missed 38 of 49 public Senate Intelligence Hearings this last go around..

The idea that Edwards and Kerry were even placed on such a committee is ,, well, a bit worrisome..

If that is the caliber of folk that "know" what is going on and are responsible for oversight, do you have to wonder why we were hit repeatedly in the 90s and beyond.

The Church commission started this slide, and then the "GoreLick" line was drawn in the sand in the mid90s.

Sandy Berger.. unofficial advisor to Kerry stuffed national secrets in his panties and hose, then steps down, until absolved. enough to make ya puke, these 2 faced soBs.
