Carolinamom:
Strange, isn't it? One would think that the 20-year veteran of the Senate and the "wonder boy" from Robbins, with his 5 years, would be citing that great experience and all the achievements they had enjoyed there.
Instead, they spout platitudes and preachments.
From your screen name, I assume that you must feel, as I do, that John Edwards (the North Carolinian) is not a person we would trust protecting our liberties. He has not represented NC viewpoints during his Senate tour, and he is so enamoured of Kerry and his wealth and power that he appears like a little puppy dog by his side. I still fault Lauch Faircloth's not taking him seriously in the Senate race for this very serious threat we face now. Had Faircloth spent more time and money in NC fighting for his Senate seat, the fair-haired boy would still be chasing big money lawsuits.

He has the audacity to re-open the wounds his lies inflicted on a whole generation of Vietnam veterans...
This supercilious ass shamed our whole generation. He has opened wounds, granted not as deep, on us who could not serve. He parades around his Vietnam record but is very careful not to let those, who did not live the late 60's and early 70's, know how pivotal he was to our defeat at home. If he had convinced us with truth, which he has no inkling of what that is, then it would have been a patriotic thing to do. Clearly that was not the case. At that time there was an America that represented liberty to the world and was willing to send our sons (now daughters) into hell to help others attain it. Fortunately liberty burns deep and we have still the wherewithal to push back on those who would put the flame out. In spite of his ilk, America still believes in liberty for all.
Kerry has accomplish little in the interim except to continue his dismantling and/or obstruction of our need to remain strong. Now he wants to continue his course of minimizing America and inflict more pain and strife on our country. Not again!

Kerry had only 120 days in Vietnam ....
Followed by four YEARS meeting with the Vietnamese negotiators in Paris WHILE his fellow Americans (including McCain!) were still held prisoners of war!) and actively helping America's enemies as the founder of VVAW.

I can't figure out McCain on this. Maybe I'm a dead-ender on Vietnam, but I can't figure out any veteran from Vietnam, except those who were drafted, who supports any Dem, much less Kerry.

Kerry told Congress in 1971, "personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in a fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war . . ."
Maybe if Kerry would have had the Cong strip down and put underwear on their heads, instead of these trivial things he did, people would be outraged.

One of my signs at the
Kerry freep in Wheeling, WV Saturday said, "20 years in the Senate, and all Kerry runs on is his 4 months in Vietnam? Why?"
As many have noted, Kerry's biography ends in 1971. Indeed, let's talk about what he's been doing since he returned, laden with medals and ribbons, from Vietnam!

Kerry could have used his acceptance speech to apologize or at least express some regret for his slanders. Instead, he tried to rewrite history, depicting his Vietnam service as the proudest experience of his life. THIS ARROGANT SELF-SERVING BASTARD IS INCAPABLE OF EVER SPEAKING THE TRUTH! This is a gross miscalculation. He has the audacity to re-open the wounds his lies inflicted on a whole generation of Vietnam veterans and WE WILL ANSWER WITH A VENGANCE AND CONFRONT HIM WHEREVER HE SPEWS HIS LIES! We will use this opportunity to expunge the filth of Hanoi John Kerry's lies from our lives FOREVER! Semper Fidelis Selah and Amen!

Don't you just hate it when this happens. You have your whole speech ready to go and you leave 30 years on the dresser at home. Dang.
