When I hear the anti-Second Amendment crowd. I buy another fire arm. My latest acqusition is a Ruger Bisley Vaquero for SASS competition. Next on the list is either a Walther PPK or a Sig model P232 in stainless for the boat.

When will people learn? Eliminating guns doubles and triples the rate of crime. Ask all the countries that cried " people don't kill people, guns kill people". Dollars to donuts they are regreting that now.
Controlling guns but being weak on crime is dumber. How in the world does that reduce crime?

I may be wrong about this, but I do not think that those on the left who would disarm us hate guns. I think that they hate guns in the hands of those who would oppose thier statist agenda.
Check this out. A common gun control lie is that the US Supreme court ruled that the 2nd Ammendment was applicable only to rganized militias and that the National Guard was the only approved militia.
First, their IS NO such Supreme Court ruling.
Second, The National Guard may hav eoriginated as a militia but is now a componant of the US Army. Hardly a militia under the Founding Fathers definition.
Third, Some gun control IS OK.
a. Sight Picture, making surethat the rear sight and the front sight posts are aligned and then aiming center mass at your target.
b. Body Position, a nice tight body position gives you a stable platform to fire from.
c. Trigger Squeeze, A firm trigger squeeze prevents you from jerking the gun off of your target.
d. Breathing, pulling the trigger during the natural pause between respirations also helps keep the round on target.

Every one of my friends and acquaintences who were anti-gun, I have taken to a target or trap range. At the end of the day, most asked about joining the NRA and aquiring a shotgun or revolver/pistol.
Take a friend shooting; and teach that they're ALWAYS loaded, muzzle down range, and finger off the trigger until ready to fire at a well specified target.
It's hate and fear driven

You can bet we will see lots more gun control legislation pushed through Congress, if Kerry wins the election. We've got to keep him out at all cost.
Demos aren't mentioning gun control any more but they can't get away with that without affirming the right to bear arms. Haven't heard it once except as an obligatory qualification when they talk about which ones they'll ban.
