I recall the years ago Johns Hopkins announced that it would no longer perform these procedures.
Too bad others don't do the same.
The whole thing here is a sad deal. There is no question in my mind that genes are a strong player in a majority of these poor people. A complex issue: but surgery is RARELY (if ever) the answer.
