Janeane Garofalo CLOBBERED by Larry Elder
KABC, The Larry Elder Show ....
Posted on 07/30/2004 9:06:06 PM PDT by infoguy
On Tuesday, Janeane Garofalo was CLOBBERED in a radio interview with Larry Elder (790 KABC, Los Angeles, 3-6pm PDT).
Janeane tried to pass off the "Republicans are racist" canard, but Elder gave it back to her with the facts.
When Janeane realized that she was facing someone who knew what he was talking about, she tried to walk off the show. She stayed, but it just kept going downhill for Janeane.
After the exchange, Janeane reportedly called Larry a "house Negro" on another show.
Elder later went on "The Majority Report" (her scAir America radio show), and Janeane must have sat out 90-95% of the interview because she couldn't keep up with Sam Seder (her co-host) and Larry.
I wish the Janeane-Larry Elder exchange were online. Larry has re-played the interview three times since the original exchange. It is GREAT radio.
Sorry for the late post, but ... DID ANYONE ELSE HEAR THIS?

I saw Garafalo on Hannity and Colmes tonight.
She blamed President Bush for the mass graves in Iraq.

I didn't hear this, but I saw her on Hannity's TV show tonight...made me laughed...Kerry didn't lie about the intelligence, because he was misled by Bush who lied to Kerry about the intelligence....

Ah man, I'd love to hear that exchange. Mr. Elder is excellent.

I would love to hear this. Are there clips of it anywhere?

Must she go around displaying her ignorance on every program available?
What a masochist this woman is.

Hannity was trying SO HARD to be a "nice conservative" he let Garafalo talk over him and dominate the discussion. Hannity is never well enough prepared ...his stock debate points are getting stale.

Kerry didn't lie about the intelligence, because he was misled by Bush who lied to Kerry about the intelligence....I was *pissed* that Hannity didn't bring up the letter that Kerry (and a slew of other democrats signed) during the Clinton administration that urged military action against Iraq. They were talking about Saddam's WMDs before Bush ever took office. Why didn't Hannity bring up that fact?

I heard part of the exchange with Larry Elder. She was way out of her element. She argues with a great deal of emotion and conviction, and I think she truly believes she's right, but the things she states as facts are falsehoods.
Her handler got upset with Larry Elder for sandbagging her. It seems that they only want to book her on shows where she will be able to rant without being challenged with facts.
If that's all she3 want's, she should stick to being interviewed by Al Frankin or Michael Moore.

Is anyone else as infuriated as I am to read or hear that some liberal (black or white) as referred to a black conservative at a "House Negro"?! This makes me sick.

Once a person is left to name calling, Janeane Garofalo in this instance, she lost the argument.

She lost again to Sean Hannity tonight on H&C as well, so she's batting .000

You know, Janeane had that mediocre looking-but-hot chick thing going for her in the early 90s. Plus I liked the fact that she seemed to be independent and real from the Hollywood phonies, maybe carve her own path or something.
Then I heard her favorable comments on the Soviet Union, and I knew she was going to be some stupid lefty trashing a showbiz opportunity to the altar of communism. Besides, she wasn't even that funny. One of her jokes consisted of a skit with a paper clip.

There is no polite way to say this, but Garafalo is an idiot.
She _thinks_ she tries to come off as an intellectual comic who became an actress who became a political activist who became a talk show host. [If you hosted a talk show, and no one listened or called, do you make a sound???]
In reality, Garafalo is nothing more than a washed up minor celebrity player looking for any angle for name recognition. She is intellectually dishonest. This affliction infects many of the dems/libs/socialists.
If the topic wasn't WMD and Iraq, Garafalo and her ilk would be finding some other non-issue to make into a "scandal." She'd be screaming "Why isn't Bush DOING something about Iraq?!?!"
If Garafalo wasn't so morally, ethically and politically challenged, some might be willing to listen to her. But, in the meantime, I'll put my ten year old son up against her in a debate anytime!!
