Is This Vanessa Kerry's New Boyfriend? The whispering on the street is that Ben Affleck, who has been gushing over both Kerry sisters all week during the Democratic National Convention in Boston, has his eye on one of them in particular: blonde-haired Vanessa. Knight Ridder Newspapers reports that at a party for GQ editor Jim Nelson in Boston, Vanessa Kerry and Affleck were spotted whispering, giggling, and touching each other affectionately.
In addition, Affleck wrote in the September issue Harper's Bazaar that he finds Vanessa "absurdly beautiful" and compared her to a "Nordic milkman's daughter, with her flaxen hair." But an unnamed friend of Ben's put the kibosh on the idea of a budding romance insisting, "I assure you they're just friends." Vanessa is a medical student at Harvard University. She's taking a short leave of absence to campaign for her dad.
Sharp readers will know that Ben already has a girlfriend of seven months, Enza Sambataro. But coincidentally, The New York Daily News reports that the two have split. When the Daily News caught up with Affleck at the convention where he was actively campaigning for Sen. John Kerry, he said, "You can draw your own conclusions. It's difficult. I meet people, but I feel like I'm this walking nightmare. You get photographed with me once at a baseball game, and The Enquirer will find out every dirty little thing that ever happened in your family's history." He then added, "It's too much. Who wants that? If I saw me, I would turn the other way. I'm trying to diminish it so that someone might actually be interested in dating me."
Ummm...I guess "Vanessa Kerry" and "Ben Affleck" are code for "John Kerry" and "John Edwards".
I really did not think it was possible to do worse than J-Lopez, guess I was wrong. This however will be over once Kerry loses.

Poor Ben's trading down. From Jennifer Lopez (who's genuinely sexy depite her other failings) to the marginal Vanessa Kerry.
The boy wants to be a politician one day when he's "all growed up" so he'll put a bag over her head and do it for his ambition. Who's next on his slide down? Nancy Pelosi?
Please expand on this. I think I'm missing something.

He's asking for help, and looking for it in Washington since Hollywood couldn't or wouldn't intervene and cure him.

Horseface. You read my mind! What is it with these young liberal women? I always thought Chelsea Clinton looked like a horse, too, loooong before I heard of the Kerry girls. They're from completely different parts of the country, were raised with different religious backgrounds (supposedly), and even their parents had different childhoods (financially speaking). Liberalism seems to be THE common bond. I suspect that scientific studies will one day back me up on this one: Liberal parents are more likely to raise ugly children (insert mental photo of Michael Moore, Woody Allen, Al Franken, etc. here).
It is being reported on several blog sites that the Kerry girl seems to have her father's sense of morals. A reporter supposedly walked in on Affleck and the blond one.
A better question is, Who the Hell Cares? In any case, they're meant for each other, a washed-up movie star and the daughter of a (soon to be) washed-up politician.
They were caught drinking lite beer slightly underage with their peers! (horrors)
They even bailed out a drunk boyfriend (they like Boys, oh my, how un-pc)
Then, two years ago the media lost interest. Why? Beats me,except they were not underage drinking beer????
One got a ticket citaation or somesuch.

Someone else please: find this picture I saw of the two Kerry daughters. It was a profile shot of them at a July 4th picnic or something in IL or MO or something. They looked like milkmaids who'd been run over by a cow.
