Thanks for keeping us up on the details.

Just got in and back to FR for the evening, gotta eat too, but I will go back and read all the posts on from your ping to me to catch up.

Praise God these two lil sweet ones are now out of harms way.

Because of these parents stupid life choices these kids are now going into govt. care and not understand why they are being taken away from mom and dad, even though us adults know.

That selfishness is what ticks me off.

I wish people would really think before getting married and or conceiving children. It is not fair that innocent children be put through hell do to selfishness and stupidity of adults.

Here is the latest from the Coeur d'Alene Police Department:

Coeur d'Alene Police News Releases

------------------------------------------------------------

AMBER ALERT CANCELLED: Tatiana Siebert & Ford Ware Coeur d’ Alene Police have cancelled the Amber Alert on Tatiana Siebert and Ford Ware as of 10:00 A.M., Monday August 2nd, 2004. The suspect, John Marc Thompson, was located in a vehicle traveling by himself. He has been taken into custody by Bonner County Sheriff’s Department.

The missing adults Jennifer Anderson and Les Ford have also been located, as well as their three children. Tatiana Siebert and Ford Ware were with the Anderson and Ward at a campsite near Bear Paw road. The children are in good health. All of the subjects are in police custody and will be transported to Kootenai County.

Coeur d’Alene Police Detectives and investigators from the FBI responded to Bonner County Sheriff’s Department to interview suspect in custody John Marc Thompson. They also interviewed Les Ward, the parent of recovered missing child Ford Ware. Thompson was spotted on a remote dirt road by Captain Ginger Swisher of the U.S. Forest service. She followed Thompson and radioed for backup. As he pulled into a residence and was asking for directions, Bonner County Sheriff’s deputies and Idaho State Police officers arrived and assisted her in his arrest. Thompson had all of the food, clothing and shelter items for the family in his vehicle. Detectives believe it was his intention to leave the family and not return.

Detectives stated that charges could be pending against John Marc Thompson for 2nd degree kidnapping. The case will be sent for review to the Bonner County Prosecutor and the Kootenai County Prosecutor. No charges will be filed against Anderson or Ward. Les Ward stated to detectives that they caught up with Jack and decided to go to the camp area they had originally planned on which is a remote area off of Bear Paw road near Highway 57.

Once there they put a paper plate up on a tree on Bear Paw road and put Yvonne’s name on it with an arrow pointing which road for her to take to find them. Les said they figured she would eventually find them.

Both Thompson and Ward have said it was all a misunderstanding. However detectives have learned that Anderson and Ward went to the Tamarack convenience store in Priest River on August 1, 2004 and asked the clerk for information on back roads out of the area leading to Washington State.

Jennifer Anderson has not been interviewed at this time. Bonner County detectives have placed Tatiana Siebert, Ford Ware, 3 yr. old Cheyenne Ward, five year old Dale Wayne, and four month old Daniel Joseph Ward into protective custody. The children were found to be suffering from malnutrition, some had open sores on their bodies and the infant had an open sore on the back of his head due to being confined to his baby carrier for long lengths of time. The infant also had a milk bottle with mold growing in it. The detectives stated the children had hygiene and health problems.

Yvonne Siebert has been notified by Coeur d’Alene Police that Tatiana and her son Dale are in the custody of Bonner County.

The Coeur d’Alene Police are thankful for the return of the children. We would especially like to thank all of the agencies that assisted in the Amber Alert and helped resolve this case. We are very grateful to all of the local and national media for their immediate reporting of the missing children and their continued follow-up on the case each day. We believe the media captured the true spirit of the Amber Alert and helped us solve this case very quickly. If and when charges are filed, a press release will be issued.

Dear Lord, please be with these beautiful children, protect and comfort them.

Thanks GrandmaC! btw, how are YOU doing? Did everything work out as you hoped? I've thought of you and prayed that all would go well.
