Who would feel more secure if they knew that we weren't spending any tax dollars on Iraqi firehouses? I've been reading that the Administration hasn't been spending tax dollars on Iraq. Most of the money allocated by Congress for rebuilding remains unspent. Instead, the Administration has been using Iraqi oil revenue, much of which it refuses to account for.

My understanding is that the money designated for projects hasn't been spent because the projects have been completed yet. At least that was the administration's response to those allegations.

Instead, the Administration has been using Iraqi oil revenue, much of which it refuses to account for. The UN audited those funds 2 weeks ago and announced that all was in perfect order.

I certainly hope President Bush is using Iraqi oil money to rebuild the country. That is great news, thanks. As far as the accounting, I am certain that he is not lining his pockets.

Way to parrot left-wing propaganda. Most of the money is unspent because it is paid out at the end of contracts, when the work is done, rather than during it. And if Iraqi oil was a big issue, I think the Iraqis would be the first ones making noises about it... not the Democrats.
