I basically agree, and nothing in my post contradicts it. If it is the government that determines it, it is not by right but by permission. Rights are not endowed by government, but should be protected by it.

At implies a counterpoint, opposition.
"to me" might well imply just singing along with you, or amplyfing the points you brought up.
I was under the belief that we could agree, and expand upon our agreement for the edification of others and our own enjoyment of this site. Am I wrong in that?
