Good letter. Mine stated that when I think of how Subway sees their American customers, I become nauseated when encountering a Subway sandwich shop. Their products now make me sick.

Food sellers hate it when people say their food makes them sick to their stomachs.

NOTE: This decision was made from the Munich franchise, and has NOTHING to do with the US for the most part. Subway Germany in Munich is the guilty party, so write to them, NOT Subway in Connecticut.

Many ads in foreign countries can be culturally insensitive. The KFC and Pepsi ads in some countries are well known for that problem, and the blame can be placed on the franchise owners in those countries.

"SUBWAY restaurants in Germany now feature tray-liners and posters promoting the film “Super Size Me.” They portray an obese Statue of Liberty holding a package of fries and a hamburger and begin with the bold headline “Why Are Americans So Fat?”

I used to search for Subways while on the road, and we regularly stopped by the local one off of Valley - but no more.

I boycott businesses that dump on the USA. Period.

Maybe you think it is fun to ridicule Americans overseas. I've spent 10 years and climbing stationed overseas with the USAF - making the world safe for Germans who can't or won't defend themselves.

I've had neighbors murdered by terrorists in the Philippines. I've sweated in Saudi to provide stability in a part of the world where damn near everyone is nuts. I lived in the UK when the Wall came down.

I've missed most of my children's birthdays, and my wife dealt with 3 teenagers while on modified bed rest during a difficult pregnancy while I was 10,000 miles away. I don't need some business crapping on Americans...and apparently, you don't need my business.

When will businesses learn - don't insult your customers. You need us a hell of a lot more than we need you.

McDonald's makes their drive thrus big enough for a Ford Expedition - but Michael Moore got stuck. They needed to bring the Jaws of Life out and cut down the Menu to free him!
