Well, Jack Nicholson seems to be able to find thin girls now and then . . . |
Isn't it wonderful to be treated like Jews in Europe? Wonder who their new Hitler will be, cause they are begging for him.
Good to know info, thanks.
I let them have it...our order for lunch...we'll be picking it up in an hour or so.
I haven't seen those guys recently.
Thank you.
Adios Subway!
"Shame on your corporation!
You have a lot of nerve using Americans as fodder for your low brow European advertising campaign. Especially in France of all places. You can forget about any further business from me or my family. We have been regular customers of your products for years and have been very pleased with your commitment to fitness and health. We are a very active and health conscious family and we enjoyed the many low fat items that you provide. However, this campaign is unacceptable. You are an American company. You need to be sensitive to American citizens when you represent yourselves abroad.
You have just lost our business!"
Advertising campaigns, as a rule, are usually established by the European divisions in question, and their advertising agencies.
Subway has marketed the "7 under 6" and "eat fresh" campaigns against fat. The German advertising agency and or the company's German division should be at fault here, not the main office in Connecticut.
"A Connecticut alternative to the burgers from Chicago." is what they're trying to say, folks. Besides, which area is more easily ready to be an issue area?
I hope that satisfies you.
It is obvious to most "honest" not "paranoid" observant that the readily available hamburger and French fries on every corner makes an easy choice for lazy ass people.
It is one thing to defend Americas honor, it is another thing to oppress an American corporation funny expression about FACTS!
I have also written Quiznos, complimenting them, and asking them to not make the same mistake.
From your response, it is apparent that you are one of those overweight, fat, unhealthy Americans.
Or is it possible that they painted with too broad a brush? I for one am not fat, even though I am American.
Some are fat, yes. And one of the best ways to get fat and stay fat is to eat lots of fast food. Make no mistake, Subway sells the bad stuff with the good. Now maybe Germans can look like Michael Moore, too.
However, I would not say ALL Americans are fat. Perhaps the fattest are the ones who live off the sweat of the Americans who work for a living. Certainly, statistics show the 'Rat party has the majority of these.
Thank you.
I stand by my observation that America (many of it's people) have a growing "fat" problem. If one leaves "the bubble of information", the endemic can be seen clearly from abroad, as one can compare to many other nationalities.
Sorry about that, I can be especially scratchy before my coffee. It was okay the first time. ;O)
I'm not inferring it, but Subway's ads are. To portray the Statue of Liberty as they did is despicable.
Here is my email to them:
I just finished reading an article that describes your company's anti-American advertising campaign in Germany. You have taken corporate irresponsibility to disgustingly new heights. Doesn't the world have enough hate and stereotypes in it without your company making more? Do you really think that in this age of the internet and easy, global communications that Americans would not notice? Did you think you were being clever?
I have sent the link to the article to my family and friends because I want them to see for themselves what you are doing. The subject line reads, "How Subway REALLY sees its customers." I am also admonishing each of them to stop going to your restaurant and to pass the link to their friends.
I can assure you that my family will no longer be eating at your restaurants and will word-of-mouth everyone I can to not eat at your restauraunts.
Stop your anti-American advertising campaign!
Now may be you are not fat, or I am not fat, but that does not say any thing aboutt the overall condition of the American diet. I don't even know, why I have to explain such a simple thing. May be you are not fat, but your brain is.
