Okayyyyy, lets see...Kerry supposedly is WIA on December 2, 1968 but is not awarded a PH until February 28, 1969...It took him almost THREE FRIGGIN' MONTHS to get anyone to sign off on his Purple friggin' Heart!!!
I knew that first PH commendation smelled like week old fish!!!

Now all we have to do is run down Donald A. Still...

I am not sure that I understand all of these pdfs. Can someone explain why he got a Gold Star instead of the second purple heart? Also, in the casulty report it lists his second and third wounds, but the first pages are totally illegable (on my machine anyway). Does anyone see where the wounds for the first PH are listed?

From Kerry's Senate website on foreign policy issue:

My commitment to supporting a U.S. military that is second to none is rooted in my service in the Navy during Vietnam, commanding a swift boat in the Mekong Delta. My two tours in Vietnam gave me a firsthand understanding of the sacrifice and courage of those who have served and fought to defend our country.

He wasn't even there long enough for one tour!
