Well said.
You can't campaign on macro economics in front of this crowd. It's much easier to sell the opposite to the mindless and shortsighted.
Oh my GOD..."...the flag behind me was shot up but it continued to fly in the wind"...you're right...he's shameless...won't people see through this?
I know i am not objective, but is it me, or is he twitchy and nervous? I think this speech sucks.
Kerry don't mean nothing, and he is beaucoup dinky dau.
The boy is number 10, cherry boy.
A self confessed war criminal and a coward.
I wonder if Bush will get a bounce out of both conventions?
Don't worry. There's not enough room in Boston to hold all the Veterens against him.
Here is some more Comrade Kerry words:
The vast majority of our imports come from outside the country."
- John F. Kerry
"If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure."
- John F. Kerry
"One word sums up probably the responsibility of any Governor, and that one
word is 'to be prepared'."
- John F. Kerry
"I have made good judgments in the past. I have made go! od judgments in the
future."
- John F. Kerry
"The future will be better tomorrow."
- John F. Kerry
"We're going to have the best educated American people in the world."
- John F. Kerry
"I stand by all the misstatements that I've made."
- John F. Kerry
"We have a firm commitment to NATO, we are a part of NATO. We have a firm
commitment toEurope. We are a part of Europe."
- John F. Kerry
"Public speaking is very easy."
- John F. Kerry
"A low voter turnout is an indication of fewer people going to the polls."
- John F. Kerry
"We are ready for any unforeseen event that may or may not occur."
- John F. Kerry
"For NASA, space is still a high priority."
- John F. Kerry
"Quite frankly, teachers are the only profession that teach our children."
- John F. Kerry
"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in
our air and water that are doing it."
- John F. Kerry
"It's time for the human race to enter the solar system."
- John F. Kerry
He's sweating like Nixon....this is a poorly delivered speech
OK....get me a cheese burger and some fries.
I'm making 40% more than I was making at the end of 2001.
He seems to be talking fast, often through the applause, which is unusual.
I think it's a smart tactic on their part to just hammer home how "tough" they'll be. I think they saw that they had little chance if they didn't try to give people some degree of confidence in their ability to fight the WOT. To many people out there, including Democrats, this is a one-issue election - the WOT. Hell, it'll be enough to convince the Andrew Sullivans of the world.
But I'm also shocked that he won't mention gay rights or abortion rights. That will piss off many on the left. Enough to switch to not vote for him, switch to Nader, etc? Who knows.
Then again, I wonder just how many "undecideds" are watching tonight.
---Help is on the way!---
They promise the same stuff every election. If they delivered, what would they promise? Aren't folks wise to these carnival hawkers yet?
There seems to be a lot of people in the crowd looking for a can of Red Bull right now......
