You can't campaign on macro economics in front of this crowd. It's much easier to sell the opposite to the mindless and shortsighted.

I know i am not objective, but is it me, or is he twitchy and nervous? I think this speech sucks.

Kerry: "To all who serve in our armed forces today, I say, help is on the way."

JF'nK seems to think that our military folks actually WANT him to be their CIC. The only "help" our military needs at this stage is for President Bush to continue as CIC for the next four years.

Kerry's record of "supporting" the military and flip-flopping on security issues speaks for itself. (sarcasm)

We value jobs that pay you more not less than you earned before.

I'm making 40% more than I was making at the end of 2001.

He seems to be talking fast, often through the applause, which is unusual.

I think it's a smart tactic on their part to just hammer home how "tough" they'll be. I think they saw that they had little chance if they didn't try to give people some degree of confidence in their ability to fight the WOT. To many people out there, including Democrats, this is a one-issue election - the WOT. Hell, it'll be enough to convince the Andrew Sullivans of the world.

But I'm also shocked that he won't mention gay rights or abortion rights. That will piss off many on the left. Enough to switch to not vote for him, switch to Nader, etc? Who knows.

Then again, I wonder just how many "undecideds" are watching tonight.

---Help is on the way!---

They promise the same stuff every election. If they delivered, what would they promise? Aren't folks wise to these carnival hawkers yet?

The Fleet Center in Boston should have a new marquee = A FLEETS ENEMA BOTTLE!

That will be needed to clean out the place when the Democraps leave!
