SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - Two men who were arrested for walking through a Wal-Mart while wearing women's thong underwear blamed the stunt on a "triple-dog dare," authorities said.
The men, ages 35 and 36, bought two pair of underwear at the store Tuesday, went into a bathroom and came out wearing only the thongs and T-shirts, police said.
Witnesses said the men walked through the store and out to their car.
Police caught the men in the parking lot, and reviewed a surveillance tape before arresting them for public indecency and disorderly conduct.
When asked why they were wearing thong underwear, one of the men said a friend "triple-dog dared" them. They will not be prosecuted, authorities said.
Well . . . triple dog dare . . . what else COULD they do?
Why doesn't Walmart arrest fat chicks in spandex?
I agree, them is put up or Shut Up Words!
I wonder if they violated protocol and by-passed the double-dog-dare and triple dare and went straight to the dreaded.....Triple Dog Dare.
Very true, the Triple-Dog-Dare is sacred. One wonders what kind of friend would Triple-Dog-Dare another into an act that will certainly get them arrested.
That's just bad sportsmanship. =/
Grow up, perhaps?
The men, ages 35 and 36,A pair of balding, paunchy, sagging-butted bill-swillers with too much time and not enough dignity on their hands--a touching commentary on the decline of the west.
Those are the ones they hire as greeters.
Considering this demographic makes up roughly 72% of their sales, I'd call it "good business sense." ;)
"I, with the entire web world as my witness, Triple-Dog-Dare John Kerry to cluck like a chicken tonight, dressed in his NASA bunny suit."
I believe actions performed under a triple-dog-dare are protected by law. It may be that they failed to tell a passerby "hold m'beer and watch this!"
How come I can't make friends that gullible? "I triple dog dare you to give me all your money" would surely work on these guys.
That would pretty much kill the customer base, now wouldn't it?
You're correct, from the article:
When asked why they were wearing thong underwear, one of the men said a friend "triple-dog dared" them. They will not be prosecuted, authorities said.
Criminal defense attorneys often use the triple-dog-dare defense.
Prior to arrest they were quoted,"We didn't know there was a front and a back to these things!"
Had to be a double triple-dog-dare.
How about...maybe stop after 12 beers?
In ten years or so, people will stop talking about the thong thing. But if they had turned down the triple dog dare, crowded rooms would have gone silent as they entered for the rest of their miserable lives...
