"...but with her pregnant he could not count on her income."

Could be but there's some question about whether he even knew she was with child. I think his sister, Sarah, said Lori was going to save telling him for a special surprise or something like that.

We know he worked as an orderly, so that gave him at least some income. But everything I'm hearing about him tells me he was not content to just do his job and build a life with Lori. He has always been up to something.

The Mormon Church almost certainly footed the bill for him during his mission days in Canada. And how did he use the time that gave him? He used it to corrupt a new convert, to attempt the corruption of his fellow missionaries, to indulge in substance abuse, sexual license and partying. I think this has been his lifestyle all along. He just learned to hide it better after he was sent home from Canada.

Hmmm. As they were arguing about his not being in medical school, she let it slip that she was pregnant and expected him to get a real job and he flipped?

Can we expect the 'other women' to come out soon?

Actually, it was his family that almost certainly footed the bill for his mission. That's normally how it works in the Mormon Church unless the family is poor, and it doesn't sound like they were.

The church doesn't foot the bill for missionaries. The families do, or the missionaries themselves, by saving.

But your point is still well taken.
